Bee Sting or Drawer Slam?
01/14/2004 11:02 PM I spent most of the night last night replacing the image URLs on my Golden Snitch TCG page, but when I checked the page this afternoon, the images weren't working again. Miamihost.net froze another account. Silly Miamihost. So I put my Golden Snitch TCG on outworld.cs.com. It's working good so far. I'm gonna try and get one page of images working a night. Well, I answered a question without thinking, today in English class. If I could, I'd go back and give a difference answer. I'd be more specific, but I'm not gonna dwell on it. It wasn't anything big. I got my first bee sting today. It happened at the beginning of PE class and it happened quick. I was sitting with Kayla outside on one of the picnic tables, waiting for role to be called. It was windy and I don't remember what I was doing. I was either fixing my hair or shirt, and I suddenly felt this fuzzy thing on my finger tip. Without thinking or relizing what it was, I shook my hand and felt a sharp pain. I reacted with an "ow!" and examined my finger. I started to try to pull it out with my fingers, but Kayla told me to go to Mrs.Stockwell, the PE teacher. I wound up being sent to the office to get tweezers. Mrs. Nuoffer was in there and she seemed kinda shocked that I got stung. She gave me the tweezers and watched me pull it out. She told me,"You're so good," after I turned down an offered bandaid. I went back to PE class and the rest was a normal class, except for the occational,"You got stung? Are you okay?" I heard one girl say that she would've been crying if she had gotten stung. I always thought I would cry if I had gotten stung, but it didn't hurt anymore than just getting my finger slammed in a drawer (not that having your finger slammed in a drawer is pleasant.) It's been over eight hours since the sting, but my finger is more swollen then before I left school. Kinda worried, so I looked up info online about bee stings, and it could still be swollen this bad for two reasons. One reason would be because I didn't pull the stinger out right away. First I hesitated to pull it out on my own, then I had to tell Mrs. Stockwell and walk to the office, and then wait in the office until a pair of tweezers were found. Second thing would be because when I pinched the stinger with the tweezers, I squished the little white thing, which I found out just now online is the venom sac. I promise my second bee sting won't be discussed so much. :P Gotta get to bed. Tomorrow's the second Spanish test before mid-terms! Only one more to go. (Oh, and my teacher mentioned something yesterday about how there'll be review time before the mid-terms. Yayy!) Goodnight!
