Camcorder and CDs
03/06/2004 12:52 AM How to start this entry.... Well I got five CDs today: Good Charlotte's Young and the Hopeless, Switchfoot's Beautiful Letdown, the Pixel Perfect soundtrack, Super Star Kidz 2, and Kidz Bop 5. Haha, I'm getting a kick out of listening to Kidz Bop 5, which has a bunch of little kids singing today's hit songs. I can't help but laugh when hearing their version of the songs after hearing the original songs so many times (such as "Hey Ya" and "Girls and Boys," and especially "So Yesterday"). If you didn't know already, Kidz Bop 5 has "Invisible." A guy with a deep voice singing most of the verses and a bunch of kids singing the choruses. Besides getting Kidz Bop 5 simply because "Invisible" was on it, I think I was curious if the little kids actually sang,"If I was invisible, then I could just watch you in your room." And I am here to confirm they do! Super Star Kidz 2 also has little kids singing "Invisible," but it also has a karaoke track of "Invisible," which I think will be interesting to listen to. I really like the movie Pixel Perfect, so why not get the soundtrack? "When the Rain Falls" has to be my favorite song on the soundtrack. One of the lines I like is "Touching's not the only way to feel." I wanted to get Switchfoot's CD ever since I heard "This Is Your Life". I'll grow to love the rest of the songs as well as soon as I listen to the CD through a few times. I don't remember why I wanted to get Good Charlotte's CD in the first place, but I don't regret getting it. I'll listen to it sometime soon, but probably not this weekend. Not unless I get through all the others a few times. Well enough of a CD report -- how about an entry? How does everyone like the new layout? Yeah, I know the Love Hina layout didn't even last a week. Sad. But there's no way I can resist a hot, new picture of Clay. ^_~ Hey, I got a new camcorder! My parents bought it for me at Circuit City the other day after school. It's not the one I was drooling over, but I still really like it. It's small and compact; and a big plus, it fits in my small bag that I'll be taking to the concert. I think I'll pack my digital camera on the very top of my bag with my cell phone so the security people that check my bag at the door of the venue will be satisfied to find two electronics without having to dig. I hope that works. This entry would flow better if I remembered all at once everything I wanted to talk about. Well my cousin Justin was at my babysitters' house when I got there after school. I walked in the door, said hi to Nana (see cast list for a healthy 'splaintion [I'll edit the cast list soon so it's not so lengthy]), set my backpack on the table by the front door, and saw Justin, who was sitting on the couch. He said,"You've gotten big!" Holy crap, he had to! He musta been a foot taller than me. Last time I saw him was probably... four or five years ago. Geez, if Lala hadn't told me on the ride home from school that Justin was at the house, I wouldn't've ever been able to recognize him. Justin asked me if I was in high school yet, and I grinned and said,"Yep, freshman." He gave a weird grin and said,"Ah.. freshman. I was one last year." Oh.. he's only a grade above me?? He looks like he would be seventeen. But no, I think I heard someone say later in the afternoon that he was turning 16 soon. (Sudden thought! He can hook up with Kayla! They're around the same age.) He also mentioned something about working at a fire station.... Interesting. He was hot, and even though we're not really cousins (if Nana and Lala were really my grandparents instead of my caretakers, then Justin and I would be cousins), it's creepy for me to think he's hot because we've always been like cousins. I think I need a brain scrubber, just like that one time on "Whose Line" where.... This diary was locked for a few hours this afternoon after I got scared one of my friends from school, someone who is anxious to see the stuff I write here, found this diary. She was searching random things with Google, and she told me that she had Googled me. Thinking the worst-case scenerio for myself, I immediately thought she had found this diary, so I hurried over to lock it until I knew she was offline and away from Google; but she had just entered my name in a Google search. I don't think you can get to here from Google by typing in my name. I think one of the only ways is to type in my username. My title "On the 8th Day God Created Ryan Stiles" no longer fits this website -- I need a new title. It wouldn't feel right to just replace Ryan Stiles's name with Clay Aiken's, so I think I need a completely different title. Suggestions? Imput, anyone? Dang, I can't think of anything else I wanted to talk about. I'm either so anxious to get to sleep that I'm making myself not remember, or I'm so sleepy I can't remember. Either way, I'll be finishing up this entry. Goodnight! Not-So-Wise Words of the Day: You know you're comfortable with someone when you can talk about your problems with acne and not get disgusted when they share theirs.
