Loving Today
03/08/2004 10:33 PM
My mood

Today was beautiful! It was so hot, it felt like it was June and that summer was almost here. I felt carefree most of the day, like it really was the last day of school. I only wish I hadn't worn pants -- it was at least 95 degrees in the afternoon.

I <3 my friends. During lunch they (Nicole, Kristen, and Tiffany) helped me color my Romeo and Juliet project that was due the next period. It didn't get completely finished (not all the stars got colored in; if only I had extra yellow colored pencils instead of just the one), and things were a little messier than I hoped they would be, but I am so thankful they helped without me even asking them to.

The project turned out to be a pile of crap and I hate it, but it's not because of my friends at all -- I'll make that clear. I had a picture in my mind of what I wanted the project to look like, but it was too difficult for me to draw the way I liked. I tried to think up something else but I couldn't think of anything else I liked. So I just followed me original idea, and it was just not something I could do the way I wanted. During lunch, Jake told me my project looked cool, but I know he was just being nice.

Only thing I like about the poster is that Romeo resembles a certain someone with spikey, brown hair and green eyes (*coughCLAYAIKENcough*); and so what if Juliet might look like me.... Mwhaha. (During lunch, while she was coloring, Kristen scolded me with,"Ya know, Clay really influences you a lot in your life, huh?" My reply was,"Mwhaha, isn't it great?")

I watched Romeo + Juliet this evening. I love it. (Aw, it's so sad!) It took me a little while to get into it and like it, just like it took me a little while for me to get into Moulin Rouge.

Kayla's friend Tiffany (not my friend Tiffany -- don't get them confused) now goes to our school. I felt left out and out of place when Tiffany, Kayla, and Desmond got to talking. Tomorrow might be better now that Tiffany's had a day to get use to the school and doesn't need to lean on Kayla so much for guidance, or so I slightly hope. You don't detect jealously from me, nuh uh. Just a little bit of loneliness.

The Harry Potter expo closest to where I live is next Sunday. I'm starting to get a little nervous, but excited at the same time. I just hope everything goes alright -- I invited Tiffany to come with me (since she's the only Harry Potter friend I have at school besides Jake), but we don't get along really well. I try to spend as little time with her as possible, and parts of me wish I didn't invite her. But hopefully she'll be so excited and thankful that she's going that she won't mock me.

Thank goodness I don't have a mess of homework, but I'm still late for bed and haven't even taken my shower yet. Meep!

Achievement tests (those Iowa tests or whatever their official name is) starts tomorrow! I'm nervous, and I wish I could study something to assure me I'll do well, but they're not the kind of tests you study for! o_O Bubble tests. Sitting in the same chair for two hours straight with the same teacher... 'nough to make me go mad.

Well.. 'night for now.

Is love a tender thing? It is too rough,
Too rude, too boist'rous, and it pricks like thorns.
