So Infatuated

My mood

Ah, well, it's after midnight on a Sunday night (or early Monday morning, rather) and I'm not even in bed yet. I am gonna hate myself tomorrow for staying up so late. Then again, if I don't stay up now and type out this entry, then I'm gonna hate myself tomorrow for not writing while I could remember everything. So either way I'm gonna get beaten up by myself tomorrow.

I just finished updating my Autographs page if you wanna take a look at the new picture before you continue on reading....

Today was the Harry Potter expo if you didn't already notice from yesterday's entry. WHAT a day it was!!!

Despite it being a Sunday morning, I woke up at six. Yes, I woke up extra early on a weekend. I know, kinda scares me too. Anyway, I put on my my red Hogwarts Quidditch shirt and my comfy pair of jeans, brushed my hair and teeth, put on some eyeliner, and gathered all the stuff I'd be taking with me for the drive to Canoga park. I was ready!

My parents and I were at Tiffany's house by eight o'clock. The drive to Canoga park was awkward. Tiffany and I don't talk that much at school, so being stuck in a car next to her was... well, I can't think up a good synonym for awkward, so just insert your own.

I don’t remember what time we got to the Westfield Shopping Center, but it was early. When we walked in and over to the place where the booths would be set up, we were surprised to only see a few people. We were third in line. The lady who was first in line even made little tickets with numbers on them to make sure that no one cut in front of any of the first few people.

My mom and Rick left us on a bench in the area and went to McDonalds for some breakfast. Luckily Tiffany brought Uno cards because I was about to go into bored mode. We played a few games until we got bored of it, so we just sat and talked a little until my parents came back.

Once my parents were back, they held our place in line while Tiffany and I walked around the mall. (A big part of the day for me was when we got to walk up the escalators that had not been turned on yet.) I got my cell phone out, and Tiffany and I started calling a bunch of people. I think the only people we got through to on the phone was Kayla and Kate. (Still feeling sorry for waking you up, Kate. XD )

At least a couple of hours later, I read my watch and think it says 11 o’clock, the time the mall opens and the expo starts. Tiffany and I ran down to my mom and waited there in line. It wasn’t until fifty-five minutes later that I relized it had only been 10 o’clock when we rushed down.

A guy that stood behind my mom, Tiffany, and me for a while made me and Tiffany laugh. The guy laughed and talked to this other guy in line, and he sounded just like Sean Connery. Just a random, humorous thing I thought I’d share.

Well about.. half an hour before the real 11 o’clock, Tiffany stares off at one side of the mall and says, ”There they are….” Ohmigosh, they were! Devon’s head was shaved, leaving only a short centimeter or two of hair sticking up, James and Oliver had their hair grown out over their ears, and Matthew was looking GOOD in sunglasses and (my mind’s fading, I there’s a chance I’ll be wrong on this) a baseball cap. They walked past the booths and down to the other end of the mall. “They went the wrong way!!” Tiffany kept saying.

Not long after the actors walked by, some guys started setting out pictures on the table, and I heard from some where that autographs were going to be twenty bucks each. My mom only had fifteen. I called Rick up and asked if he could come down to the mall, because he had left to visit his senile friend Eddy sometime after Tiffany and I started walking around the mall. It a few minutes after eleven and I was getting a little worried because Rick had not come. I was standing on my tippy-toes, looking at the entrance to the mall where we had entered, and that’s when I saw them. The stars were coming back! ^_^ It was time for the signing to begin, heh! When the actors were taking their places behind the tables, my mom snapped some photos. (Instant message me through AIM if ya wanna see some -- I don’t think I’ll post them here.)

Matthew Lewis was sitting closest to the front of the line, then it was Devon Murray, then James Phelps, then Oliver Phelps.

I finally spotted Rick and got twenty dollars from him. Tiffany got her Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix book signed by Matthew, and I took a group-photo picture off a table for Matthew to sign. He looked so amazingly cute. His eyes were the coolest hazel-green color and hair was looking goood.

“Could you sign it to Jeannette?” I asked him.

“Sure,” he said. “Is that spelt J-A-N-N-”

I politely interrupted him. “J-E-A-N-N-E-T-T-E,” I recited.

He wrote out some letters and said, J-E-A…”

“N-N…” I added, and he wrote again. I dunno if you can tell, but boy was I ever nervous!!! After I had said “N-N-,” I had a hard time remember what came after that! “Okay,” I thought,”what comes after ‘N-N’…. Let’s see…. J-E-A-N-N-E-T-T-E. Aha! ‘E-T-T-E’!” He looked up at me after he had finished writing “N-N” and I added quickly enough not to embarrass myself,”E-T-T-E.” He finished writing his short message and penned his signature. I thanked him and took the signed picture, feeling amazing. There was no doubt by the look on Tiffany’s face that she felt the same way.

I made my way back to Rick, who had some more twenties in his hand. Long story short, my mom, Tiffany, and I wound up going back over to the tables to get the three other actors’ signatures (even though I came to see Matthew.. and Oliver, heh). Before I got Devon’s signature, I walked back to Matthew.

“Could I have a picture?” I asked as I pointed to my mom who was holding my digital camera.

“Sure,” he said, and he stood up and walked out from behind the table. He put his arm on my shoulder and I was feeling: ^_^!!! My mom tried to take a picture but it didn’t work. My mom walked over to see if I could fix the camera, so I started trying to push the power button on. Ehe, Matthew still had his arm on my shoulder, but he slide it off when the camera still refused to work. “Aww! :(” I thought. I apologized and he resumed to his seat.

I didn’t want to give up that easily, though. While waiting for Devon to finish up a signature, I fiddled with the power button some more and whaddya know! The camera turned on again!

I walked back to Matthew, feeling my old shy self, and said,“Sorry, the camera’s working now. Could we try again?”

Again, he said,“Sure,” and came out from behind the table. Trying to be humorous, I said,”That’s gotta be a good work-out, having to sit up and down so many times.”

“Yeah,” I think was his response. I’m not really sure because his hand was once again on my sholder. (XP I’m such a nerd.) This time, I pulled Tiffany into the picture. The results were this:

*Deep sigh*

After that I got Devon’s signature, and then a signature and photo from James. Take a look:

I didn’t notice until today that James and Oliver both kind of have a lazy eye. Anyway, there’s no point to that statement. Randomness.

After taking a picture with James, I got Oliver’s signature, and Tiffany tried to get a picture with him, but the camera officially died before she could. :( I feel bad about it.

After picking up a flyer for the expo and a newspaper-type thing called Recycler that had stuff about the expo, Rick, my mom, Tiffany and I made our way to the car. Tiffany and I were chattering away happily on Cloud 9. We kept heaving deep sighs and kept saying,”We just met them!!!”

We all drove over to Eddy’s house so Rick could fix Eddy’s VCR and take him to lunch with all of us. We went to the Habit place that serves hamburgers and such. After asking Rick if Tiffany and I could have a separate table from him, mom, and Eddy, it was approved. So Tiffany and I split a hamburger and a small tray of fries as we continued to talk about what just happened.

“They touched us!!” Tiffany said.

“With their hands!!” I added.

We also compared notes on what the actors smelled like.

“Did Oliver smell good? Like shampoo??” I asked Tiffany. She nodded, and I made a XD face. “Matthew smelt good, too. Like hair gel, I think,” I told her.

We started calling people again. Tiffany called Samantha S. and told her about our celebrity meetings. Both Tiffany and I were a bit out of it. Tiffany told Samantha,”Hold on, here. You can talk to Tiffany.. I mean, Jeannette.”

Tiffany handed the phone to me and I said,”Hi, Jeannette. It’s Samantha.” The real Samantha started laughing and called Tiffant and I both dorks. :P

After lunch, we started heading for home. Tiffany recorded me doing my Stuart (from Mad TV) impressions, and I recorded hers. How entertaining are we! :P

Once back at Tiffany’s house, I said goodbye to her, and my mom, Rick, and I headed for home.

I was tired from the excitement.

That’s basically the end of that exciting day. :D

I am soo infatuated with Matthew now. Probably even more so than I am with Daniel Radcliffe. Again, shocking, I know.

But really I am a nerd. I printed out that picture of Tiffany, me, and Matthew, and I made the picture take up the whole page. Matthew looks just so darn cute! (And guess what? He’s only about a month younger than me! That’s no age difference when you compare my age to my other crushes such as Clay Aiken, Ryan Stiles, and especially Alan Rickman.) Also, I made the large version of that picture into my desktop wallpaper. Even I’m a little scared of it. I’ll probably die in embarrassment if my mom ever saw it.

Well, best be off to bed. Close to being one o’clock. I hope I didn’t forget to talk about anything!! Goodnight!

Thanks to Matthew, my new phrase is probably “sure.”
