Late-Braiken Clay News

September 26th, 2003
So it has been the decided that Clay's album will indeed be called Measure of a Man. The image of the CD is now up on Amazon.com so make sure you go take a look! :)

September 20th, 2003
Clay's CD might be called "Measure of a Man" after all? It seems so with this image linked here. Any thoughts?

September 14th, 2003
There's gonna be less updates here unless it's something big, because right now I dont have the time to update this every day since school's started again.

September 2nd, 2003
Clay will be appearing with Ruben on TRL this Thursday. Maybe THIS is the time Clay's video will premiere, I mean, if Clay and Ruben actually show up this time!

September 1st, 2003
Clay was on Jerry Lewis's MDA Marathon around 4PM. He sang wonderfully!
Clay Aiken's CD is still number ten on Amazon.com's Top Sellers list, and Clay's single jumped up seventeen spots to rest at number fifty-three.
Clay's single dropped down fifteen spots to number eighty on Billboard's Hot 100.

August 21st, 2003
"This Is the Night" has dropped down seven spots to number sixty-five, and Ruben's single dropped down six spots to ninety-one on the Billboards Hot 100.
Clay's self-titled album has dropped down to number ten on Amazon.com's Top Sellers list, while "This Is the Night" dropped way down to number seventy. (There's just so many new CDs coming out, Clay's single is having more trouble keeping up!)
Also, there's some interesting news on Yahoo about the release dates. This article linked here says that Clay's CD will come out October 14th (as it says on Amazon.com), and Ruben's will come out November 11th.

August 13th, 2003
It has been reported by Clay's publicist that Clay's CD will be self-titled, and not named "Measure of a Man". For more information about Clay's CD, read this article linked here.
Clay's CD has moved back to number eight on Amazon.com's Top Sellers list, but Clay's single has dropped down to number forty.

August 11th, 2003
Clay's CD doesnt have a title anymore. On Amazon.com, the CD that was said to be named "Measure of a Man" is now "TBA" for 'to be announced'.
Clay's CD is now number nine on Amazon.com's Top Sellers list, and Clay's single "This Is the Night" is number thirty-seven. Hey hey hey! Clay's single is still on the charts! :D
"This Is the Night" has dropped down six spots to number forty-six on Billboard's Hot 100. Ruben's single dropped down one spot to number seventy-one.

August 6th, 2003
It says on Amazon.com that "Measure of a Man" will be released October 14, which is starting to piss me off.
There's a bit of good news and more bad news from Amazon.com. "Measure of a Man" is still number eight in the top sellers list, but "This Is the Night" has dropped down to number thirty two.
And dont forget to watch the Teen Choice Awards tonight on Fox! You all better have voted for Clay (and Ryan Seacrest)!!!

August 2nd, 2003
Did you miss Clay's interview on The View Wednesday? Well, dont worry because they're showing it again! Apparently tons of people wrote in and complained about Bush's speech cutting off Clay and Ruben's interview. So, they're re-airing it again on August 7th for all of those who missed it. And let's hope Bush doesnt have another speech at the same time again. (I heard this news from ClayAikenFan.com, so Im givin' them the credit.)

August 1st, 2003
Clay and Ruben werent on TRL yesterday. The schedule changed. I checked it about an hour before the show and Ruben and Clay were no longer list in yesterday's overview.
Now for the charts update. Clay's single "This Is the Night" dropped down seventeen spots to number forty on Billboard's Hot 100, while Ruben's single dropped down fifteen spots to number seventy. On Amazon.com's Top Sellers list, "Measure of a Man" has moved up eight spots to number eight while Clay's single has moved up fourteen spots to number twenty-one! Great job, Claymates!! *Grin*

July 30th, 2003
Bauck.... The dates for Clay's and Ruben's CD have been changed around more. Ruben's CD is suppose to be coming out September 16th, and Clay's is coming out two weeks after that. So we're looking at an October release for Clay's CD. *Heavy sigh* Why cant Clay's CD come out first? I mean, Clay's already done recording his -- his CD just needs to get put together. But Ruben hasnt even finished recording his CD! :( I dont think I can take the wait!!

July 29th, 2003
"Measure of a Man" has dropped down to number sixteen on Amazon.com's Top Sellers List, and "This Is the Night" has dropped down to number thirty-five.
Dont forget to watch Clay (and Ruben) on TRL on Thursday, July 31st, and it has been said they're going to be on the Howard Stern Show, but I dont see them on the schedule. Also, Clay is going to be on The View on Wednesday, July 30th. Check your local listings.

July 25th, 2003
Clay's single "This is the Night" has dropped down six spots to number twenty-three on Billboard.com's Hot 100 (Ruben's single dropped down seventeen spots to number fifty-five). Clay's single is also number twenty-three on Amazon.com's Top Seller list. And "Measure of a Man" has dropped down to number seven on Amazon.com's Top Sellers list.
Speaking of "Measure of a Man". It should be coming out around September 2nd.

July 20th, 2003
Another 'oh no'! Clay's CD "Measure of a Man" has dropped down to number three on Amazon.com's Top Sellers list, while his single "This Is the Night," which went platinum last week, is currently at number eighteen.
Congradulations Clay-Baby for having a platinum single so early in your career! May there be many other plantinum albums to come!

July 18th, 2003
...*Sigh* Well, after having to put up with watching TRL for an hour, there was still no Clay. I dont get it -- on yesterday's episode (*cringe* I watched it for an hour yesterday too) they said Clay was going to be on today! But no Clay. ...And it turns out that Clay's video will be premiering sometime during the week of July 28th.

July 17th, 2003
Sorry you guys, I was wrong. Clay wasnt suppose to be on TRL today, but he's gonna be on there tomorrow. I have a good feeling he'll be debuting his music video!!! *Squeal*
Clay's single "This Is the Night" has dropped down nine spots to number seventeen, while Ruben's Studdard's single "Flying Without Wings" dropped twenty spots to number thirty-eight on Billboard's Hot 100.
Dont forget to keep requesting Clay's music video for "This Is the Night" so it can premiere at number one! You can vote by clicking here. He's video isnt listed yet, but you can scroll down, select "other," and fill in his name and the video name (which, in this case, would be "This Is the Night").

July 16th
Clay's CD "Measure of a Man" is back to number one on Amazon.com's Top Sellers list! Yay!!
Dont forget to start requesting Clay's music video by clicking here. And also, there's gonna be something on Clay tomorrow on TRL, so dont forget to set your VCRs! Maybe Clay's video for "This Is the Night" is debuting?? *Crosses fingers in hope* Here's hoping!!!

July 15th, 2003
Oh no! Clay's debut CD, which has the confirmed title "Measure of a Man", is now number two on Amazon's Top Sellers list!

July 14th, 2003
I devoted a whole diary entry to Clay news. You can read all the newest Clay news for July 14th by clicking here.

June 12th, 2003
I was right!! I guessed that Clay was going to film his music video for "This Is the Night" either Thursday or Friday, and he did in fact film it on Thursday! Woo, go me!! I am so antsy now! I wanna see it!!!

July 11th, 2003
Clay's single "This Is the Night" has dropped down five spots to number eight on the Billboard Hot 100. Ruben's single "Flying Without Wings" also dropped down five spots, leaving it at number eighteen.
There's still some confusion on when Clay's CD is coming out. The only thing we're sure of is that it's coming out two weeks after Ruben's.

July 10th, 2003
Lately there hasnt been much to update about Clay. For the rest of the summer he'll be working on the American Idol concert with the other idols. Speaking of the AI concert, ClayAikenFan.com has a live version of Clay singing a new, unreleased single that will be on his CD. Go check it out -- it's a bad quality mp3, but the song is really nice. It was originally done by D-Side, a group famous in the UK.
And about Clay's music video. It should be filmed today and/or tomorrow. So anyone in the LA/Hollywood area, go do some looking around.

July 6th, 2003
It has now been reported that Clay's video for "This Is the Night" will not be recorded in Chicago. It will be filmed down here in LA between Clay's trip from Chicago to Ohio. Woo! Now I just gotta find out where in LA so I can... visit. ^_^

July 4th, 2003
I have no new news but ClayAikenFan.com does! What they wrote is quite interesting. Here it is: "You are now able to pre-order Clay's full album due out in August at Amazon.com. The funny thing is it hasn't even been named yet and we really don't have any information about it and it's already #1 on the sales rank. That's in a matter of hours, guys, because it wasn't even listed last night!" Quite interesting. To view and/or pre-order his CD on Amazon.com, you can click here. It says that Clay Aiken's CD will be out August 19th, but hasnt the release date been changed to sometime in September, as previously reported?? Has Amazon.com just not gotten the news??
Also, Clay was suppose to be shooting his music video this week in Minnesota but, as he said in a recent interview, the filming has been delayed until next week and it will be filmed in Chicago.

July 3rd, 2003
Entertainment Tonight showed behind-the-scenes clips of Clay's photo shoot for his debut CD. I have uploaded the clip but I had to split the one clip into two different clips because Im only allowed to upload 3MB files at the most. Here's the first clip, here's the second clip. They'll only be up for a limited time so enjoy them now! I have over fifty screecaps from the clip, but Im not going to post them because you can find them anywhere on the web.
In other news, Clay's song "This Is the Night" has dropped down two spots to number three on the Billboard Hot 100.
Here is more information about the release dates of Clay's and Ruben's CDs.
So far there's no reports of Clay getting cold feet in Minnesota (he's afraid of water and Minnesota is the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes), but there is a report on him and other American Idol finalists' trip so far. You can read it here.

July 1, 2003
It was said that both Clay and Ruben's debut albums were to both be release August 19th, 2003, but that has now been changed. RCA Records has now said that Clay and Ruben's albums will be released in September with space in between both album release. Let's just hope Clay's CD is the first one to be released. Im sure there would be a lot of cranky Aiken fans if we had to wait extra, unnecessary time to get our man's CD.

June 27th, 2003
This isnt new news, but Clay is nominated for a Teen Choice Award! Vote for him over and over by clicking here! You know he deserves any award he's nominated for!!

June 26th, 2003
Right now Clay is in London recording his CD that is rumored to come out August 19th of this year. After returning to America, he will be in Minnesota recording the sure-to-be-beautiful music video for "This Is the Night". We cant wait, Clay! Speaking of "This Is the Night", it is number one on the Billboards for a second week. Congradulations, Clay!!!
